Blk Girls Shoot 2026 is a hybrid campaign shoot + community weekend celebrating Black women in front of and behind the lens.

The Campaign
The Work
Every year we gather Black women — models, photographers, stylists, storytellers — to make the kind of pictures the industry tells us aren't commercial. They are. We've been proving it.
What to Expect
A full production day with our creative team — wardrobe, hair, makeup, and a directed shoot for the 2026 campaign that lives across our site, prints, and partner brands.
Workshops, panels, and conversations led by Black women working in fashion, editorial, and commercial photography. Open to all attendees.
A closing dinner + screening of behind-the-scenes footage. Where the campaign becomes a memory and the community keeps going.
Behind the Lens

Why Attend
BGS is where Black women find their visual collaborators, sharpen their craft, and leave with imagery they're proud to put their name on.
Walk away with editorial-level work shot by a Black woman behind the lens.
Photographers, stylists, MUAs, and directors — all in one room, all weekend.
You leave with relationships, a Slack, and a directory that keeps working.
Selected work runs in our 2026 partner campaigns and editorial features.

Meet Mecca
I'm Mecca Clarke — photographer, founder, and the person who started Blk Girls Shoot after one too many shoots where I was the only one in the room.
What began as a single afternoon in 2021 has become a hybrid campaign + community that brings together hundreds of Black women creatives every year. The work keeps growing because the need keeps showing up.
2026 is our biggest year yet. I'd love to have you in it.
